An Applicable Quote: Gandhi
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
-Mahatma Gandhi
This has been a very telling quote in my life. As I grow and gain new experiences, I always try to have this particular line in the back of my mind.
My interpretation of this quote:
"Live as if you were to die tomorrow."
I can't live my life doing things that make me unhappy. Ultimately I want to be working toward the betterment of my life, and those that I care about. If I died tomorrow I want to have as few regrets as I can.
"Learn as if you were to live forever."
The limit of my knowledge is only the time and energy I'm willing to devote to it. We will all have jobs throughout life, but a lifetime career is to continue to learn and experience new things. With that knowledge we can make better decisions and get the most we can out of ever day.
